Never before has Ohio State offered so many professional development options to classroom teachers, pupil services professionals and administrators in one space. How do we use lessons from the pandemic to reshape education? How can schools engage communities and technology to reimagine teaching? The 2021 Summer Institute provides K-12 educators with 57 meaningful learning experiences that will change how you approach teaching. A keynote address, workshops and webinars will be delivered June 1 to July 16.

Workshop options include webinars on family engagement, literacy, meeting mental health needs K-12 students, overcoming systemic racism in schools, revitalizing teaching and transforming learning, social and emotional learning, teacher wellness, teaching for equity and social justice and technology as a learning tool.

The keynote for the Summer Institute is by Ohio's Teacher of the Year, Anthony Coy-Gonzalez. A teacher at the Ohio School for the Deaf, Anthony will share his perspectives on how lessons learned from the past year have given educators the opportunity to reimagine education. As we partner in rebuilding, we will embrace the true power of educators and the incredible potential of every child.
