Ms. Salazar is a licensed clinical social worker and organizational development professional based in Chicago. She began her career teaching social skills classes to young people in schools and quickly became interested in learning what it would take to change the culture and climate of an entire organization through social and emotional development. She has had the opportunity to do this work in organizations like Chicago Public Schools and The Collaborative for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning (CASEL), where she developed the original online edition of CASEL's Guide to Schoolwide SEL. Most recently, she has translated her expertise in social and emotional learning to the workplace at Cook County Health, where she has provided coaching on emotional intelligence, change management, and employee engagement. Her favorite part of this work has been helping to transform complex ideas into simple, practical tools that solve problems and drive improvement.
Intended for all educators and school staff.
